The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has called on the public “not to risk their safety and their lives” and to abide by the 14-kilometer radius danger zone of Taal Volcano because of the continuous exposure to the hazards in the wake of the volcanic eruption.

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) reiterated that Taal Volcano Island located in the middle of Taal Lake is strictly off limits to any and all persons and have directed the Philippine National Police (PNP) to stop and prevent those who wish to return to the island to retrieve their belongings or rescue their animals such as horses and cows.
